Budget Trip to London

Planning a trip to London might seem like an expensive prospect but actually, a trip to the big city needn’t cost as much as you fear.  There are a number of ways you can still have an incredibly enjoyable trip but without breaking the bank and blowing the budget.

Accommodation

One of the great things about the capital city is that there is a wealth of accommodation options to suit absolutely every budget.  From hostels right through to 5 star suites, you will be able to find something which works for you.  There are always discount hotels to be found in London too as well as special offers which could offer you the opportunity to stay in a better hotel, but without paying the expected price.  Shop around before booking anywhere to ensure you are getting the best deal.

Food

Again, as a leading city in the world of food and drink, there is no shortage of places to eat whatever your budget.  The theory that London is more expensive than elsewhere because it’s a major city is true to some extent, but it’s all relative.  Make sure you research online before you travel to find out where the budget establishments are located.

Attractions

London hotel  has a great number of free attractions and it is entirely possible to not pay a penny to see some of the best landmarks in the city.  Even if an attraction has an entry fee, there are usually discount vouchers available online and booking in advance can also save you money.

Travel

Getting to London can be quite expensive; if you choose to drive you may have to pay the congestion charge and unless you get free parking with your hotel, charges can be quite steep.  The train is a good choice as you can usually get advanced deals.  Once in London, the tube offers a convenient and cost-effective way of travelling but if money is really tight then London is very easily accessible by foot and even offers the chance to see parts of London you might otherwise have missed if on the tube.
